Itchen Bridge Concession Scheme

Image of the Itchen BridgeThe Itchen Bridge provides a toll exemption for people in receipt of the higher rate of mobility component of the Disability Living Allowance.

The scheme provides the disabled person with an identity card and tokens to provide them free crossing in any vehicle (with the exception of HGV vehicles).

The identity card will expire one month after the expiry date of the current Certificate of Entitlement to the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA 404) used for the application. We will write to you shortly before that date to remind you to reapply for your concession.

You will receive a laminated identity card and an initial supply of yellow tokens.

When you have handed in your last token you must inform the Toll Collector who will issue you with a new supply.
